Maureen Denise McCormick is the daughter and youngest child of Richard McCormick. Her birth date was August 5th 1956 on the outskirts of Woodland Hills California. Her father worked as an educator at school and her mom was an at-home mom. Michael Dennis, Kevin and Dennis are her three oldest brothers. McCormick was an accomplished artist and singer from the age of 6. Her passion was to show puppet shows to entertain her friends. After winning the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest when she was 6 an old Pat Domigan called from Jack Wormser Agency to see what she thought about getting into the entertainment industry. McCormick got her first big job when she was cast as a television character in the 1964 commercial of Mattels new baby doll, Baby Pattaburp. McCormick also starred in a commercial in 1964 for Mattels Chatty Cathy toy and soon she was given the main character in Wind It Up and It breaks, a production at La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick auditioned for the role of the youngest daughter of the three towheaded girls on The Brady Bunch. The show was a collaboration between Florence Henderson, Robert Reed as well as a brand new family. The show ran for 5 seasons. McCormick stated in her 2008 memoir Heres the Story : Surviving Marcia Brady & Finding My True Voice that she was close to having ended her relationship in the fifth season to Barry Williams, her co-star and on-screen brother. She was just 16 at the time while he was. She said that it would be possible, however we never had the right time to do it.
